The Highbury Project (Highbury Extended Services Cluster) – Immersive project for and by a group of young people as they learn communication and team-working skills by writing, producing and acting in a short drama.
Queens of Cyprus
Ben again joined forces with LGK in the Community to be the cinematographer on Queens of Cyprus, a 60-minute documentary that celebrates the powerful women and rich culture of Cyprus. The documentary has been screened in New York, Cyprus, Greece and the UK.
Queens of the Commonwealth
We are delighted that LGK in the Community requested to work with Ben Robinson as Production Mentor and Executive Producer of ‘Queens of the Commonwealth’ – the migration stories of 22 women who travelled from Commonwealth countries to make their home in Birmingham. The documentary went on to win the 2023 RTS Award for Best Documentary and is now available to watch on ITVX.
Slavery and Stately Homes - BBC
Presenter Sue Brown explores the connections between England’s stately homes and the trans-Atlantic slave trade. She discovers the story of a female slave buried in a Warwickshire churchyard, and meets the owner of a Derbyshire estate whose family tree reveals both slave-owners and Abolitionists.
Civilisations Stories - BBC
As part of the BBC’s flagship Civilisations series, Mark Williams shares the stories of three pioneers who revolutionised the worlds of human rights, surgery and printing. Through art and artefacts he reveals how their innovations helped build the modern world.
A West Midlands National Park - BBC
Journalist Suzanne Virdee meets landscape architect Professor Kathryn Moore who has a vision for the West Midlands to become a new kind of National Park. Suzanne discovers the views of others in Birmingham, and sees Kathryn’s strategy to benefit the economy as well as physical and mental health.
Cracked (Warwick Medical School & Santé Theatre)
Multi-platform project, part funded by the Wellcome Trust, that explores mental health and the lived experiences of psychosis.
Passing On (Santé Theatre)
Passing On comprised a touring theatre play and filmed content for DVD and online. Santé Theatre used the experiences of health professionals and carers to explore the last few days before death, to discover how difficult it is for clinicians and families alike to discuss dying, and whether we can achieve a ‘good death’.
Gangsters Made Good
